You get in her way. She wants to go places and do things. She doesn’t want you. Mommie told me just to come get you. Take you away. She didn’t want you anymore and doesn’t want to see you again. Ever. That’s the story of stolen children.
At first, surprise that they are seeing a father that they haven’t seen much of before. But, he usually goes for gifts, special meals, the circus. This is gonna be fun. I am special to him. The confusion about the trip… is explained away by the excitement at the other end. Then, the fanfare begins tot mellow and you’are still traveling.
Then, you want to know when you’re going to see Mommie? Is she meeting us? What about school? Friends? Your room.
And the reality begins to hit you, as you hear – Mommie just told me to come get you and to never bring you back again. She doesn’t love you. Mommie doesn’t want you. Don’t ever try to see her or call her again. She told me to just take you away. The shock. The confusion. The hurt. It’s all there. A lot for a little, innocent child to swallow.
